New video - VizLite DT as used by the WJ Group

Viz Reflectives are now in their third year as suppliers of bespoke Hi Viz PPE to the WJ Group. We are proud that VizLite DT is continuing to protect the vulnerability of WJ operatives in what is a very high risk industry.

The WJ Business was established 30 years ago and now operates out of ten regional depots throughout the UK. The company employs over 320 operatives and specialises in the application of road markings and road studs. WJ also build their own specialised road marking vehicles and manufacture thermoplastic materials out of two plants, as well as undertaking driver training at their Academy based in Stoke.

The garments that we supply include long sleeved waistcoats, parka and bomber jackets, combat trousers and overalls. Each garment was designed specifically for WJ and incorporates their think exceptional branding. Much of the work WJ undertakes happens at night time where there is a significant risk to operators. While standard Hi Viz uses retro reflective tapes that reflect light back to source such as vehicle headlights, there is no visibility offered when the operative is in complete darkness. VizLite DT offers a solution using phosphorescent or "glow in the dark" technology.

Martin Webb WJ Group Operations Director commented “This has been a huge investment for the company but safety is fundamental to our business and nothing is more important than sending our employees home safely after each and every shift”.

Viz Reflectives have produced a new video with the help of the WJ Group, which demonstrates how the VizLite DT technology works and features user feedback. You can watch the video by following the link below to our Vimeo site or by going to the introduction and video page on the VizLite DT section of our website.
