There are many road safety organisations and charities that play an important part in educating, informing and campaigning for road safety.

The Department for Transport's THINK! road safety website offers advice for professionals, teachers and parents. The child road safety website (www.hedgehogs.gov.uk) provides games and tips on road safety for children. Brake is a national road safety charity which aims to prevent death and injury on the roads through education of all road users and campaigning for Government improvements to road safety and cares for people who are bereaved or affected by serious injury in a road crash. Brake runs Road Safety Week as an annual flagship event to stimulate community involvement in promoting road safety awareness year-round. Visit the Brake Road Safety Week website for more information.

Child Accident Prevention Trust (capt) is a national charity committed to reducing the number of children and young people who are killed, disabled or seriously injured as a result of accidents. The charity aims to reduce serious accidental injuries, especially those with long term consequences through raising the profile of childhood accidental injury among decision-makers, practitioners and parents; increasing knowledge of prevention and reducing inequalities in accidental injuries.
